Playoff Formats

The format and weeks that the playoffs will be played is defined by your league's commissioner, so check your league rules for more details.

TundraBall Fantasy Football offers two playoff formats: Total Point and Head-To-Head

Total Point
Explanation
In a Total Point format, your weekly scores are summed together for the entire length of the playoffs and the team with the most points in the end wins. Ties are allowed.

There are potentially two brackets of teams - SuperBowl Contenders and ScrubBowl Contenders. It's up to the league's commissioner to decide how many teams will participate in each.

The primary benefit of the Total Point format is that every team that makes it into the Playoffs will participate for the entire length of the Playoff season. As opposed to a Head-to-Head playoff where once you lose, you're done.

Example
In the following example, Pigskin Titans wins the SuperBowl, and Wizards wins the ScrubBowl.

SuperBowl
Team Name Week 14 Week 15 Week 16 Total Points
Pigskin Titans 162 184 219 565
Fantasy Giants 145 242 154 541
Mayhem 120 140 132 392

ScrubBowl
Team Name Week 14 Week 15 Week 16 Total Points
Wizards 130 225 219 574
Grid-Iron Warriors 155 175 201 531

Head-To-Head

Explanation
In a Head-to-Head format, teams are matched up weekly against another team, and the winner advances to the next round of the playoffs. Ties are not allowed, and will be decided by way of a virtual coin-toss.

Regardless of which playoff format:
Players are Locked
Each week you will start/bench players on your lineup the same way you do during the regular season.

Don't forget that once you're done with the playoffs, you'll continue playing through the Pro Bowl weeks, which extends your season even further.
