The New Orleans Saints have added veteran linebacker Danny Clark to their roster, marking his second stint with the club since the Sean Payton era began in 2006. The 33-year-old Clark, now in his 11th season, also was with the club in 2006. His addition adds depth to a linebacker corps depleted by a season-ending foot injury to projected weakside starter Jonathan Casillas. |

Quarterback Matt Leinart, released by the Arizona Cardinals over the weekend, has agreed to a one-year deal with the Houston Texans, ESPN's Chris Mortenson reports. With Matt Schaub firmly in place as the Houston starter, Leinart looks to be in line for a backup role once again. Sources tell the network the Texans were one of the first teams to contact Leinart after he was released. Leinart finished his Cardinals career with 3,893 yards, 14 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. |
